IEG4’s sole focus is on the delivery of digital services to local government and the NHS. Reflective of this, and the fact that the public sector is legally obliged to ensure its public-facing services are accessible. IEG4’s services are designed, tested, and delivered with a focus on assuring WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.
We review content on websites such as:
https://www.accessibility-developer-guide.com/
This ensures best practice is built into the design, development and build processes.
Furthermore, we have already carried out an appraisal of WCAG 2.2 AA and virtually all the elements of this standard are already catered for. Indeed, examples like ensuring visible focus on elements, to illustrate clarity of selection and optimization for mobile devices is something we have already been doing for a vast number of years.
IEG4’s services are provided on a subscription basis and the cost of assuring compliance with WCAG AA is included in the annual support and maintenance of the software.
IEG4’s services are designed using the open standards of the web: HTML, CSS, JS, Bootstrap, and web components and because of our adoption of standard HTML elements and the necessary hierarchy for AA compliance, screen readers / magnification / speech recognition tools have been tried/proven with our applications.
